Frontend developer · open to new work

Making interfaces that are quick to load, easy to use, and a little fun to look at.

I'm Progress — a frontend developer writing React, Next.js and TypeScript since 2022, with a growing fondness for the backend (Node, Express, NestJS — a bit of Go on the side). Mathematics graduate.

I started writing code in 2021 — somewhere between calculus problem sets and late-night YouTube tutorials — and went professional in 2022.

Since then I've spent most of my time shipping React and Next.js frontends, with a growing interest in everything that powers them on the backend. I'm also a Mathematics graduate, which is to say: I like systems that are correct, predictable, and a little elegant. I bring the same attention into the products I build — careful with state, careful with types, careful with how each pixel earns its place.

When I'm not coding I'm probably reading documentation, picking apart a UI I admired, or doing maths.

  • Now Open to frontend / full-stack roles & freelance work.
  • Background BSc Mathematics — graduated.
  • Learning Going deeper on Go, NestJS, and Postgres internals.

The tools I reach for, day to day.
